Hello! My name is Issy and I am a filmmaker, photographer, and visual storyteller with a passion for analogue formats, whether it’s 16mm, 35mm, Super 8, or Hi8. Based in Australia, I’ve collaborated with artists and brands to create visually compelling stills and motion picture content for music, fashion, and commercials. My work has appeared in publications like Rolling Stone Australia, and I’ve collaborated with brands such as Dior. In addition to freelance creative work, I’ve held roles on a wide range of productions, from camera operator to best boy, across narrative features, short films and commercial shoots.

I have been a lab technician at Fotofast for over three years, where I specialise in scanning, developing, and consulting on film and fine art printing. I was based in Toronto for six months in 2022 to study film there and was able to score a job in one of the city’s biggest labs as a tech. My education combines a Bachelor of Fine Art in Film, Screen, and New Media with a Bachelor of Business in Advertising at QUT, giving me a unique perspective on both the creative and strategic sides of production.

Last year I spent four months living out of a bag half full of camera gear and film rolls. I embarked on solo hiking trips across Europe and North Africa, shooting diverse landscapes and bringing a stripped-back, documentary-style lens to my practice.
